1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of QuoteCop, operated by Sunil Subedi ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account, making a payment, or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Description of service

QuoteCop is an AI-powered tool that analyzes contractor quotes and provides automated feedback on pricing fairness, red flags, and missing items. We analyze the text and numbers in quotes you upload and compare them against aggregated market data. The results are AI-generated estimates intended as a second opinion only — they are not a substitute for professional advice from a licensed contractor, engineer, or attorney.

3. Not professional advice

All audit results, fairness scores, market price ranges, and recommendations generated by QuoteCop are produced by an AI model and are provided for informational purposes only. We are not licensed contractors, engineers, or legal professionals. You should always verify critical details with qualified professionals before making construction, repair, or financial decisions. We make no representations about the structural correctness, safety, or legality of any contractor's proposed work.

4. User responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Providing accurate and complete information when uploading quotes and creating your account.
• Using the service lawfully and not uploading malicious files, spam, or content you do not have the right to share.
• Evaluating audit results critically and seeking independent professional advice where appropriate.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. By making a payment, you also agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Single audits are a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future billing; you retain access until the end of your current billing period.

6. Refund policy

Our refund policy is available at /refund-policy. Please review it before making a purchase.

7. Intellectual property

All software, content, branding, and materials on QuoteCop are owned by Sunil Subedi. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, resell, or redistribute any part of the service.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 6 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for: material breach of these terms, non-payment, fraud or security risk, or repeated misuse of the service. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York County.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or on the site. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
